Make It A Happy Move
 
This is a long day for everyone. Invite a friend, neighbor, or family member over for added friendship, comfort, and support. Stay hydrated.
 
 
  • Remember, the best part of moving is time to re-organize and downsize. If you have not used it in a year, you most likely never will.
  • 9 AM is the preferred start time. We do not want to upset the neighbors. Most gate guards and building managers do not allow us in earlier for this reason.
  • We fight the morning lines at the gas stations with our large and small trucks for fuel, Gatorade, cold water, coffee, fresh sandwiches, etc. We fight to get through traffic at all hours daily. We have no control over construction, weather, and road conditions. Please be patient if we run behind. Call our office and our dispatcher will be happy to get in touch with your lead man and driver. We have never missed a move. Its rare that we are not on time. It does not matter how early we get started, your movers are not driving a Ferrari by any means. When trucks are fully loaded, it is even more difficult to get them up to speed, merge, and change lanes. Please have patience. Your movers will be there. Guaranteed.
  • Your lead man will call you when leaving the base and heading your direction.
  • Providing cold water, snacks, soda, pizza, cookies, crackers is not necessary but makes it a great day for everyone.
  • Allow movers to work at their own pace. Pushing promotes damage. Another good reason to have a FLAT RATE instead of an hourly rate on large moves.
  • Plant a seat at the destination front doors. Don't be missing in action. We need you to “point” so we can “put”!!! We need a director. Moving things twice will make for a long miserable day.
  • Have everything packed by moving morning. If you are packing yourself, we can send men to assist you prior to moving day at our regular hourly rates to assist you prior to the move.
  • Fill your boxes to the top for proper stacking. Don't be afraid to use garbage bags to pack soft items.
  • Leave your boxes all over your house. Leave them where you filled them. We are your mover. Let us move them. We also pick and choose different weights and sizes to load the truck properly and we cannot do that if you have all of them piled in a corner.
  • Clearly mark your boxes on top and one side as to what piece of furniture items came out of and what room they are going into. We will stage all of your boxes in the correct room next to the correct piece. The idea is so that you do not have to move a box.
  • All boxes should be closed completely. You may only have a max of 10 open boxes with items that are sticking out. We cannot stack on these. They can only be used as “top load”.
  • Remember when packing – soft items in and take all hard items out.
  • Take advantage of the FREE wardrobe service and electronics disconnect / reconnect service.
  • Gratuity is not necessary but greatly appreciated, especially when we go above and beyond for you.
  • Removing dust in advance makes for a very happy move!!!
  • You can finally clean those impossible to reach places while were moving. We don't mind, carry a rag with you. Have glass cleaner ready.
 
  • Movers will always be “yes Sir, no Sir” , “yes Ma'am, no Ma'am” on your moves. They are always looking for a little extra gratuity. The will do what you ask.
  • Allow an extra day to clean your house or have it cleaned. We offer this service as well.
  • Make sure the sprinklers are set to “OFF”!!!!
  • We do our best to match our packers and movers with our clients. Matching personalities.
  • Our insurance does not cover you to walk up our truck ramp, stand on out lift gates, use our equipment, or be on our trucks.
  • Keep your vehicles clear from the garage, driveway, and immediate street curbs for the truck-s to have complete access and mobility.
  • Stop all ceiling fans.
  • The cooler the air, the faster your movers will move. Keep your A/C on when possible.
  • Any type of music breaks the air for everyone.
  • You can leave the move for a short period if necessary. Let your lead man know.
  • If you have to mark furniture – use painters tape. Its great for all surfaces.
  • Instead of constantly being asks, mark the lesser of the 2 items from your home that are or are not going. Let your movers know which pieces to take, or not to take, with blue painters tape.
  • Secure all pets. We love them so we do not want to step on them.
  • Please designate 1 bathroom for your movers.
  • Place all cable equipment that needs to remain or be returned, in a secure location. Do the same with your jewelry, important papers, etc.
  • Sneak off and call our office if there are ANY concerns. We will discreetly and confidentially handle any issues for you. Good reports are also appreciated. We advertise them and we also put them in your movers personal folders for review at Christmas bonus time.
  • Unpacking is an expense but is available.
  • If were doing a full move and pack for you, there is nothing you need to do between the time now and your pack and move.
  • What comes around goes around. We will bless you for any referrals you bless us with after your move.

  • Weather is not an issue for us. We move furniture 364 days out of the year. We have you covered. (No pun intended)
  • Packers will pack EVERYTHING. Remove items that you do not want packed!!!
  • If you are unsure about any furniture or boxes at the destination that you want put inside the home, we will gladly leave those items in your garage or a back bedroom and return for an additional low hourly rate when you have made your decision on where you want them.
  • We do take trash. Dump fee's start at $120.00 for the city dump and we do include labor as well.
  • Smoking is a terrible but very uncontrollable habit. Our movers are instructed, if they must, smoke in the street, behind the truck, not in plain view of the client.
  • If your movers take a few extra minutes in getting to your destination, that's when they usually stop for cold drinks and their lunch break on a full moving day.
  • We always perform a full inventory if your items are going into our storage. You will have a complete list of your items and the condition we took them in.
  • If our movers notice any existing damage, above and beyond normal wear and tear, they will let you aware right away so we are not responsible. We want you to be happy with our services, not disappointed, especially for the previous moving companies mistakes.
  • Make sure you perform a FINAL walk through with your movers at both pick up and destination. Lets make sure we have it ALL.
